Jackie Matney, LPC received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and went on to obtain her master’s degree in counseling from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She has worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings, primarily with adolescents and young adults.
Jackie’s services include individual counseling, coaching, and consulting. She specializes in treating individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, interpersonal conflict, suicidality, and self-image issues. Using a variety of treatment modalities including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Jackie’s goal for her clients is to build resilience and to reach overall wellness.
Tailoring an individual’s goals and strengths into each session, Jackie enjoys providing support and skills to help individuals find meaning and balance in their own lives. She wants everyone to know that they are never alone and that each person can live a meaningful life with intentionality.
In her free time, you can find her spending time outdoors with her husband, baby girl, and Aussie doodle or cuddled up on the couch with a good book & cup of coffee. She also enjoys watching movies or cheering on the Aggies and Packers. Gig ‘em & go pack go!
