Annie Tam is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of MEND Counseling. While working in France after college, she discovered her passion for helping others MEND their brokenness and uncover their potential. Since then, Annie has spent the last 16 years working in schools and private practice doing just that—helping individuals connect to themselves and rock their lives with authenticity and intention.

Annie specializes in working with mothers and other individuals in building self-confidence, discovering and embracing their identity, and creating a purposeful, wholehearted life. She has an active, humorous, and direct approach to counseling and is motivated by seeing change and growth in her clients. Annie is also certified in EMDR which she uses to address trauma, disordered eating, and enhance performance. Each individual is different, thus the mending process will be a unique journey. Her goal is to make sure you feel safe and accepted in order to create an environment that fosters your holistic growth and freedom.

She offers coaching and consulting services in addition to counseling. Coaching is great for healthy individuals who want to improve their current state of life and move forward to reach their goals. Increased self awareness, an understanding of how they relate to others and setting goals is at the heart of coaching. Annie is available for presentations and consultations in schools, churches, businesses and groups. She also enjoys consulting with other therapists to help them grow and gain confidence in the amazing work they do each day. In 2020, she cofounded A+K Collective, which provides “momchic” renewal retreats for the everyday mom.

When Annie is not working, she can typically be found trying to keep up with her two rambunctious boys + labradoodle, enjoying a pilates class, or checking out a new restaurant around town with her husband. She loves strong coffee, anything French, and being outdoors.
