D’Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Mark E. Hundley, M.Ed., LPC-S. A Dallas native, she earned her Master of Science from Southern Methodist University and works with adolescents, adults, and couples. She is passionate about helping clients develop and recognize their resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate (CSAT-Candidate), D’Anna specializes in supporting individuals and couples impacted by sex and pornography addiction, betrayal trauma, and sexually compulsive behaviors. Her work involves helping clients address shame and self-worth issues that arise from both addiction and betrayal. D’Anna’s training in attachment theory allows her to help clients identify and heal underlying attachment wounds that contribute to both addictive behaviors and relational distress. D’Anna is trained to administer numerous evidence-based assessments such as the Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST), the Post Traumatic Stress Index (PTSI), the Sexual Dependence Inventory (SDI), the Inventory for Partner Attachment, Stress, and Trauma (IPAST), and more.
D’Anna has specialized training in betrayal trauma and affair recovery, supporting partners who experience symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) due to their partner’s infidelity or sexual addiction. She understands the profound impact of betrayal on an individual’s sense of safety, self-worth, and reality. She uses trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, somatic techniques, and psychoeducation to help clients regain stability, rebuild trust in themselves, and process the emotional devastation of betrayal. She guides couples through critical phases of crisis stabilization, therapeutic disclosure, emotional processing, and long-term trust restoration. She also facilitates therapeutic disclosure sessions, ensuring honesty and accountability in a way that fosters healing rather than further harm.
D’Anna is also SYMBIS certified, providing pre-martial sessions for engaged and newly married couples, or couples contemplating marriage. She also provides pre and postnatal support, assisting new and expecting mothers as they navigate the complex emotional, physical, and relational changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, as well as fertility challenges. She also works with high-achieving individuals, struggling with perfectionism, stress, and work-life balance while maintaining their professional and personal well-being. With her expertise in career counseling and life transitions, she supports individuals facing major shifts in their careers and personal lives, identify values, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and purpose in their evolving journeys.
D’Anna takes a warm, humorous, and direct approach to therapy, helping clients feel at ease while tackling challenges head-on. Her warmth creates a safe, brave space, while her humor brings relief and perspective to difficult moments. With directness, D’Anna cuts through confusion and gently challenges her clients to foster growth and self-awareness. She believes therapy should be both meaningful and engaging, offering honest insights and collaborating with her clients to help them make real, lasting changes in their lives.
Before becoming a therapist, D’Anna spent 10 years in corporate business leadership, an experience that fuels her passion for coaching professionals navigating career changes. She understands the complexities of high-pressure environments and helps clients make empowered decisions that align with their values and aspirations.
Outside of work, D’Anna enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their 60-pound Goldendoodle. She is passionate about fitness and teaches cycling classes at her local YMCA. She also loves being outdoors, traveling—especially to the beach—cooking, planning themed parties, and finding live music to enjoy.
